Solplanet and Deye are popular brands of inverters for solar systems. Both companies offer efficient equipment with modern technology. But which brand is better? Let's consider their advantages, disadvantages and key differences.

Solplanet uses reliable components from leading manufacturers. The housing is resistant to external influences, protected from dust and moisture. Deye also demonstrates high build quality. Their inverters have a durable housing and reinforced electronics. However, some users notice overheating under heavy load.
Both brands are equipped with protection against overvoltage, short circuit. Solplanet uses modern algorithms for stable operation. Deye has additional overload protection, which reduces the risk of damage. But despite the declared functionality, there have been cases of Daye inverters catching fire.

European installers insist that comparing Solplanet with Daye is incoherent.

Both manufacturers did not care about smart home users and did not develop a corresponding application for the Home Assistant home automation system. But the issue is closed by the community. Thanks to its development, the integration of the equipment of this manufacturer occurs without unnecessary dancing with a tambourine. It is enough to install an addon that will pick up data from the inverter and battery. The application allows you to configure Solplanet equipment, as well as use it in various automations.

For Deye inverters, the integration was created by Johann Kellerman . It works using the MQTT protocol and has less functionality compared to the Solplanet inverter integration. Which is limited to broadcasting readings from the inverter sensors.

Guarantee

Solplanet provides its equipment with a long warranty period. It is 10 years. Daye cannot boast of a similar service. Distributors are forced to include warranty risks in the final cost of the equipment and provide their own warranty, which does not exceed 3 years. The repair of this equipment is carried out by local service centers. While Solplanet does not repair its products at all, but replaces them during the warranty period.

Both brands are worth considering. The choice depends on the needs and budget of the project. But it is clear that Solplanet has a number of advantages over the Deye brand.
