These generators have been operating on the Ukrainian market for more than ten years. And I had some experience with them. Therefore, I can confidently say that I have no complaints about the reliability and durability of the equipment. Of course, I would like it to keep up with the times and somehow meet modern criteria. Although the production of these generators is well established, but over time, they have not seen significant changes or improvements. This can be both an advantage and a disadvantage, depending on what you expect from the purchase.
Let's take for example a series of the simplest generators of the Forte brand. The manufacturer also carries the Werk brand name, and although they are virtually identical, the Werk alternators are aluminum-wound, while the Forte alternators are copper-wound. Aluminum winding has lower conductivity compared to copper. This makes generators less resistant to overheating. If you choose Werk , it is important to run the generator at 70% of its rated power to avoid overloading and to extend the life.
In comparison, the FG 3500 model weighs about 50 kg and is quite compact, albeit with some power limitations. If you are offered a generator weighing 40 kg with a copper winding, you should be careful - most likely, its real power is lower. The next model, the FG 3800 , already weighs 55 kg, and although it is identical in dimensions to the FG 3500 , it has slightly more power and weighs 5 kg more due to the copper winding.
When using generators, it is important to pay attention to details such as oil drain, fuel level and ignition. For example, for FG 3500, you should use 10W-40 oil in summer and 10W-30 in winter. You can drain the oil both through a hole in the crankcase and with a syringe. Also, don't forget to break in the first 20 hours and change the oil regularly every 100 hours - this will extend the life of your generator.
As for the FG 6500 series, it is significantly heavier at almost 100 kg, but has a rated power of 5 kW and a peak power of 5.5 kW. It is equipped with a 12 V output and an electric starter, which makes it more convenient to use. However, it is important to consider that for such powerful generators, it is necessary to ensure proper cooling and correctly connect the exhaust systems to avoid overloading the engine.
In general, Forte and Werk are reliable brands with good build quality, but when choosing a model, you should pay attention to the features of each series and properly operate the equipment to avoid problems in the future.
If you have any questions or need advice on choosing a tool, please contact us - we are always ready to help. In addition, our company can offer you the service of rewinding the generator if its winding has failed. But at your request, replace aluminum with copper. Thus, increase the power and ensure a long service life.
