The sensor "sees" a broken window or door with the help of a hi-end reed switch (made in Britain), which is affected by a magnetic field. The reed switch is reliable and designed for more than a million operations!

The device can work as a transmitter and send a signal to the hub from a wired sensor. The sensor does not respond to vibration lasting up to 0.15 s.

DoorProtect Jeweler consists of two blocks: one has a reed switch, and the other has a magnet. The large magnet is installed at a distance of up to 2 cm, and the small one at a distance of up to 1 cm. The magnet is installed on the right side of the sensor. The manufacturer recommends not to install two magnets together with the sensor at the same time. The reed switch sensor responds to only one of them, which is installed on the right side on the moving part of windows or doors. The place where the magnet is attached is marked with an arrow on the sensor body.

When the windows and doors are closed, the magnet and the block with the reed switch close the contact of the sensor. In the process of opening, the magnet moves away from the gecko, you yourself break the circuit, and with it the supply of current. When the door or window is closed, the magnet moves in the opposite direction and the contacts reconnect, restoring the integrity of the circuit. The detector is triggered when windows or doors are opened and sends a signal to the alarm control panel, and the hub informs users about the event and triggers automated actions that are pre-configured by users.

Jeweler technology allows the detector to work on several floors of a building or at a distance of about 1,200 m from the central office, if there are no obstacles. The sensor protects even windows that are open for ventilation!
