DoorProtect Jeweller consists of two blocks: one with a reed switch and the other with a magnet. The large magnet is installed at a distance of up to 2 cm, and the small one at a distance of up to 1 cm. The magnet is installed on the right side of the sensor. The manufacturer recommends not installing two magnets together with the sensor at the same time. The sensor with a reed switch reacts to only one of them, which is installed on the right side on the moving part of the window or door. The place where the magnet is attached is marked with an arrow on the sensor body.

When the windows and doors are closed, the magnet and the reed switch block close the sensor contact. During the opening process, the magnet moves away from the reed switch, breaking the circuit and with it the current supply. When the door or window is closed, the magnet moves in the opposite direction and the contacts reconnect, restoring the integrity of the circuit. The detector is triggered when the window or door is opened and sends a signal to the alarm control panel, and the hub informs users about the event and launches automated actions that are pre-configured by users.
