Description Ajax DualCurtain Outdoor
The DualCurtain Outdoor Motion Sensor is an exclusive motion sensor designed to detect movement outdoors.
The basis of this sensor is infrared waves that are reflected from objects in the area of action. DualCurtain Outdoor has two radiation sources, which allows it to cover two control zones. If it is mounted between windows, it will monitor both window openings and prevent penetration through them.
DualCurtain Outdoor has high sensitivity and accuracy, as well as a built-in noise filter to avoid false alarms. In addition, it has protection against water and dust according to the IP55 standard, which allows it to be used in all weather conditions. That is why it is recommended for outdoor use.
Its main task is not to notify about intrusion, but rather to prevent it. After all, it is triggered as soon as the intruder enters its zone of action. And since the sensor is mounted outside, on the facade of the house, it will trigger even before the burglar gets into the house. DualCurtain Outdoor is an ideal sensor for using the Ajax security system in night mode or partial protection. When there are people in the house and arming it is impractical, but the external perimeter would like to be controlled.
Like the vast majority of Ajax sensors, DualCurtain Outdoor works on the Jeweller radio protocol. Which makes it resistant to jamming and hacking attempts. The Jeweller coverage radius is 1700 meters. Which is quite enough to cover a 2-story building. If it is necessary to increase the range, a Jeweller- type repeater of the Ajax ReX signal is used.
